My name is Shrita Palla and I'm a sophomore in high school. I've grown up with a brother with special needs. Children have been cruel and ignorant to my brother all his life, when he just wanted someone to play with, someone to be his friend. It wasn't their fault, inherently; they didn't know how to react and to talk to him. Now, I'm on a mission to make sure no child has to ever feel like that again. That no parent has to watch their children go through that. They deserve better. We deserve better. For this reason I started Together We Shine, so we can all work together for a better, more educated, kinder world. Every child deserves to be safe and happy, and that privilege should be unbarred.
